intrudes, right? There are bills to pay, chores to do, and supporting an
organization that matters to you gets pushed to the bottom of the list. We
understand. Luckily, there are other ways you can help -- small efforts that
can add up to big donations. Everyday actions, such as back-to-school shopping
or searching the Internet, can provide financial support to PennFuture.
This
Saturday, August 24, marks the third year in which PennFuture is participating
in Macy’s “Shop for a Cause” event. Macy’s has partnered with non-profit
organizations nationwide to raise more than $45 million for its ongoing
charitable efforts. For a $5 donation, you'll receive an all-day shopping pass
for 25% off regular*, sale, and clearance merchandise, and 10%* off furniture,
mattresses, and area rugs. The pass can be used in any Macy’s store or online
at macys.com. Plus, you can
enter to win a $500 Macy’s gift card.
There's
still time to purchase your pass. You can buy it online and, once the donation is completed, you will
receive an email with instructions on how to download a pdf copy of the coupon
to be used in store or online.
PennFuture
will also be participating in Boscov’s "Friends Helping Friends" day
on Tuesday, October 22, when $5 will get you a 25% shopping pass to be used on
that day at any Boscov’s store. More information will be available on our event page soon.
Love to shop but hate the crowds? There are other ways to give to PennFuture through your online searching and shopping using designated websites like goodsearch.com and igive.com. It doesn't cost you anything extra to designate PennFuture as your charity at one of these online malls, and the commission that would normally go to a traditional store is donated to PennFuture instead.
